Shopify CLI 4.8 introduces shopify store commands to create, list, and delete development stores from your terminal or coding agent. The update also sets a new limit of 250 dev stores per organization.
The new commands—shopify store create dev, shopify store delete, shopify store list, and shopify store info—let you manage dev stores directly from the terminal or a coding agent. Combined with the Admin API and bulk operation support already in Shopify CLI, you can script workflows that create, populate, and reset development and testing environments. A new limit of 250 dev stores per organization applies only to Dev Dashboard organizations; client transfer and collaborator stores are not counted. Organizations currently over the limit have been granted an extended limit.
